Internal Project
Verse 3
Versatile visual programming language for building applications with nodes.
Computational Design
Published on: February 28, 2022
The Project
Verse3 is a parametric, scalable, and cloud-deployable visual programming language (VPL) designed to create a wide range of applications. From business automation to education and data analysis, Verse3 enables users to build solutions quickly using a node-based system.
The Challenge
How do we create a universal, accessible programming language that can perform a variety of tasks across industries? Current visual scripting tools often have limited use cases, so the challenge was to design a general-purpose tool that is open-source, scalable, and cloud-ready, addressing the shortcomings of existing VPLs.
The Solution
Verse3 offers an event-based programming system that is easy to use for real-time interactions, with features including:
Custom UI capabilities for packaged applications
Built from scratch in CSharp with no dependencies
Integration capabilities with Rhinoceros3D, Unity3D, and more
Cloud-ready for easy deployment on unmanaged servers
Simplified plugin development with a versatile SDK
Cost, Time, and Efficiency
Verse3 enables rapid application development, reducing the time and cost of creating scalable, cloud-deployable solutions. By streamlining processes and
providing pre-built components, businesses can implement solutions quickly.
Design Features
Event-based real-time interaction programming
Flexible UI elements (buttons, textboxes, sliders, etc.)
Integration with popular 3D and data tools
Cloud deployment ready for scalable, remote applications
Open-source design for flexible development and customization
Applications of XR Technology
Verse3 can be utilized for:
Data analysis and automation
Parametric modeling and 3D visualization for architects and designers
Education, offering visual tools for teaching coding, math, and design
Business automation, resource management, and customer relationship management
